The retiring Kenyan President Mwai
Kibaki will spend the rest of his life playing golf, participating in
philanthropy work and writing his autobiography when he retires at his home in
Mweiga on Tuesday.
According
to his daughter, Judy Kibaki, the Head of State is eager to resume playing
golf, a sport he passionately pursued before becoming President in 2002.
“He is going back to golfing.
That is his favorite sport and he is very much prepared for that,” Judy said.
Judy was speaking in an
interview with a local radio station on Friday, where she said even though Kibaki
was leaving office, he would still have quite a busy schedule.
“I think he’s got plenty to
do. He has his books to write about the economy of Kenya and also his memoirs
about his life in politics. He also has the Mwai Kibaki Foundation which he
will invigorate and it will help a lot of young people with education and health
issues,” Judy added.
The President’s daughter
said she was looking forward to spending more time with the retiring President
who was not always accessible due to his busy schedule.
Kibaki is retiring after
spending more than 50 years in active politics and reaching the top position in politics as being the president of Kenya since 2002 up to Tuesday when he will be Retiring and going back to his favorite sport and managing his foundation.
Congratulations to the retiring President Mwai Kibaki for your contribution in the state of Kenya and east Africa in all. We will remember your contribution and development you made and we advice the Kenyans to support and finish all goods you left unfinished and to finish them and maintain all you have got on the way.
